This year, the lap pool will also close on September 7 so that we can complete important maintenance and service work.

 

This work includes:

• Repairing a filter
• Locating and addressing a leak that has resulted in water loss
• Continuing treatment to clear the black algae in the pool

The black algae has required additional chemical treatment throughout the summer to help manage it and keep the lap pool open. Because the algae still requires further treatment, installation of the new lane markers will be delayed until next spring. This will allow the necessary treatment and maintenance work to be completed before the new lane markers are installed.

 

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work to properly maintain the lap pool and prepare it for the 2027 season.

Our goal is to ensure the pool is in the best possible condition for our residents when it reopens next year.
