Happy Spring, CVOA! We hope this monthly update finds you well! In this newsletter, please find all current news and happenings to keep you well informed. This was our first month to meet with the new board members and we're excited to share all the changes!
 

Happy Monday, Columbia Village! Given the rain and warmer temps, it looks like spring might finally be on its way...fingers crossed. Here is a brief update about our 2023 Annual Meeting that occurred last week. It was a full, standing room only event and it was fantastic to see so many friends and neighbors in attendance. Our continued hope is for more and more people to feel included and a part of our processes and progress.

An annual meeting update, welcoming 3 new board members, getting ready for our Annual Trail cleanup, and some tips for preparing your home for spring from our neighborhood watch coordinator! Learn more in the latest update from the CVOA Board of Directors!

Over the past few months, the board of directors have drafted and approved 3 Board resolutions for the Columbia Village Owners Association that provide clarification to homeowners regarding existing CCR policies and rules. We wanted to allow homeowners the opportunity to review them in advance of the meeting and ask questions if needed of the board.

There are 4 director positions needing to be filled at the annual meeting on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Read more about the nominees and learn how to cast your vote!

 

The Columbia Village Owners Association is seeking candidates for three Director seats, each with a three-year term (March 2022 to March 2025). The election will be held at the CVOA annual meeting on March 9th, 2022.

Thank you to all those that continued to use the lap pool during our trial run for extending the season through September. The board will evaluate the usage and determine if it is cost effective to continue to do this again next year. 

We wanted to take a moment to give you some more information about our continuing pool guidelines for this summer. Hopefully this information can give you some insight into why certain changes were retained from last year.

A new public hearing has been scheduled for June 8, 2021 at 6:00pm regarding an appeal of the Planning & Zoning Commission's approval of a residential development of 270 multi-family unit complex on the corner of Gowen Rd and E Grand Forest.

Columbia Storage (not part of CVOA, nor affiliated with our own RV lot) has announced plans to expand their paved surface area. They are holding a neighborhood meeting on Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 6:00pm. Please read for more details. 

CVOA's annual event is coming up on June 5th from 11:00am - 2:00pm and it will be bigger than ever! Food trucks, music, games, and free treats are just the beginning...

Time to clean out the garage and closets and host a yard sale! CVOA will advertise online, through social media, and put out signs at all major entrances to bring traffic in. 

Our overall goal is to provide an enjoyable experience for all residents this summer. Learn more about the changed you will see for this summer.

We would like to welcome aboard the newly elected board members from the 2021 Annual Meeting: Rachel Sutherland and Mark Barry, as well as a renewed term for Loyd Burke!

Due to COVID-19, the Annual Meeting has been pre-recorded. This is now available to view, with an introduction to your board members, committee updates, and an introduction to the board nominees. 

The new park from City of Boise is near Surprise Valley and will feature a fenced dog park, skateboard/scooter plaza, outdoor fitness equipment, bocce ball court, playground, and more.
