Conveniently located in Southeast Boise surrounding the Simplot Sports Complex, our community of over 1,800 homes boasts miles of walking and biking paths, stunning views of the foothills and surrounding area, close proximity to schools, family-friendly amenities and unbeatable outdoor recreation opportunities.

Simplot Sports Complex
Located in the West end of the community, Simplot Sports Complex is a 161 acre special use area managed by the City of Boise.
It features:
  • 20 soccer fields
  • 15 baseball/softball/tee ball fields
  • large playground with equipment for 2-5 and 5-12 age groups
  • restrooms
  • separate parking
Residents of our community enjoy walking and biking the miles of paved walking paths throughout the park. The park is open from sunrise to sunset. As with all city parks, no pets are permitted per city code.

Hiking & Mountain Biking Trails
Because Columbia Village sits above basalt cliffs overlooking the river valley, we are fortunate enough to include some of the most scenic hiking and biking trails within our community. Trails include:
There are two parking lots with restroom facilities along E Lake Forest Dr for trail users. Trails are managed by Ridge to Rivers. Dogs are allowed on all designated trails, but dogs must be kept on-leash at all times and pet waste disposed of properly. 
 
In addition, Columbia Village has developed miles of additional walking and biking paths throughout the community's desert beltway common areas. There are trailheads from most cul-de-sacs throughout our community that lead to these paths.
 
Schools
Columbia Village has an elementary and junior high school within our community, both are adjacent to the Recreation Center and pools. The high school within our school boundary is located in Southeast Boise, approximately 4 miles away from Columbia Village. Click each school for more information.
