Capitol Tree Lighting Ceremony
Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, 5:30pm to 7:30pm at 700 W Jefferson St, Boise, ID 83702
The festivities start at 5:30 p.m. with free hot chocolate, cookies, and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Governor Brad Little and First Lady Teresa Little will say a few words, then light the tree at 6:45 p.m. Following that, there will be performances from a children’s choir and the 25th Army Band.

The inside of the Statehouse will also be festively decorated. Guests are invited to swing by the Capitol Gift Shop, where Idaho’s 2025 State Christmas Tree ornaments will be for sale, along with other gifts by local artists.

The event ends at 7:30 p.m.

Idaho’s 2025 Christmas tree is a 45-foot Blue Spruce that was cut from State-owned property behind the Statehouse.
