Calling all block captains, or those interested in learning more about what is involved in serving as block captain for your street! The Columbia Village Neighborhood Watch Coordinator will be holding a semi-annual meeting at the Pioneer Room, with 2 convenient times to attend. In this meeting, they will review the responsibilities of a block captain, share ideas for keeping an eye on your street and reporting suspicious activity, as well as things to be on the lookout for this holiday season. We hope to see all of our current block captains there, and anyone else interested in learning more about this program! If you are unsure if your street has a block captain and are interested in volunteering, please contact columbiavillagenw@outlook.com.
In general, block captain responsibilities include:
Attend at least 1 NW meetings each year.
Pass a light background check through the City of Boise
Become acquainted with the neighbors on your street
Look out, be aware, be observant, communicate, be committed to help.
