April CVOA Neighborhood Update
Posted on Apr 21st, 2022
Greetings, Neighbors!
Here’s an update on what’s new and coming up in our great community!
Did you know that being a member of a community HOA helps the neighborhood stabilize property values and can boost the value of your home? For more information on what an HOA can provide, check out:

The Pioneer Room at the Rec. Center is available to rent for residents hosting meetings, parties and events! Plenty of space with chairs, tables and a kitchen are at your disposal! Check out the neighborhood website at www.cvoa.net for more information.
We will be experiencing another drought season this summer and wanted to share some tips to help conserve water in our community! Every drop counts and together, making small changes, we can make a big difference. Currently our landscaping committee is looking into planting and watering options and opportunities to conserve as well. Here are some tips you can try at home!
Did you know you can now install turf in your yard to help conserve water? Just like submitting approval for paint colors, simply submit a sample of turf you’d like to install to our ACC committee before beginning work on your project. They’ve been doing a great job on turn around times!
Mark your calendars! Here’s some fun CVOA activities to look forward to!
- May 7th: Wildfire Community Preparedness Day. This website gives homeowners great resources and tips to protect their homes during wildfire season. https://www.nfpa.org/Events/Events/National-Wildfire-Community-Preparedness-Day
- Did you know Columbia Village has its own Neighborhood Contact Officer from the BPD? Would you like to meet them? On May 10th at 7:00 p.m. the police department will host a presentation/meet and greet with our assigned officer at the Boise Police Station. It’s a great opportunity, especially for Neighborhood Watch Block Captains.
- We will be hosting our Annual Community Yard Sales on June 18-19th. It’s a great time to clean out closets and garages and make a little summer cash! The CVOA will be posting signs at all entrances to the subdivision a few days before the event.
- Our annual summer pool party will be on June 25th! Come with your family for popcorn, treats, games, food trucks and lots of pool fun!
