October CVOA Neighborhood Update
Posted on Oct 24th, 2022
Happy Fall, Columbia Village!
The fall colors are definitely showing off this year in our beautiful community! We hope that this newsletter finds you all well and WARM as we close out October! Here are some updates and events to note heading into the holiday season:
First, thank you to all who came to our first CVOA Open House last month. We really enjoyed getting to know those that came and sharing thoughts and ideas. We had great feedback and may choose to hold another one in the spring. For those of you interested in applying for the three open board positions that will become available in March, the link for the Google Form application will be posted by the end of the week on www.CVOA.net. The deadline for this application is January 15, 2023. It's a great way to get involved, be an advocate for your neighbors and serve our community.
Our Neighborhood Watch has organized an open forum to meet our Neighborhood Community Officer on Wednesday, October 26th at 5:30 p.m in the Pioneer Room of the Rec.Center. This is the perfect time to ask questions about our neighborhood and about serving as a block captain. And if you haven't heard, we need more block captains!
It's already time to start talking turkey...Turkey Trot, that is! Come to the Rec. Center at 9:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning to run our almost 5K, hunt for the hiding gnomes and get ready for that big holiday feast!
Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 17th! From 9:00 to 12:00 we will be hosting our Visit with Santa and Holiday Bazaar also in the Pioneer Room at the Rec. Center. Bring your kiddos to visit the big man himself, make a craft or two and share a cup of cocoa while you browse the handiwork of local artisans. Big shout out to Natalie Sellen for organizing the vendors for the bazaar!
Finally, we are in need of a homeowner or two to serve on our ACC committee. This is the committee that reviews and approves ACC requests such as paint colors, landscape and architectural changes. Please contact Christian Brockl if you are interested in serving in this capacity.
As always, thank you so much for making Columbia Village the greatest place in Boise to live. Have a wonderful fall!
Sincerely,
CVOA Owners Association, Board of Directors
