March 2025 CVOA Update
Posted on Mar 7th, 2025

We are looking forward to seeing you all at our annual meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Pioneer Room at the Rec Center.  All homeowners should have received the annual meeting packet in the mail by now.  If you have not received your packet, or have misplaced it, please contact Christian Brockl at Sentry Management below.

Three board member positions are up for election at the annual meeting and we currently have three candidates.  Nominations for candidates will also be taken on the floor at the annual meeting, so it is still possible for a contested election.  Information regarding the current candidates can be found in the annual meeting packet or viewed here on our website.

The agenda for the annual meeting includes a financial report (including the basis for the dues increase), reports from the Board and Committee Chairs, the election of new board members, and an open question and answer session for homeowners.  If you are unable to attend the annual meeting, please be sure to return your proxy according to the instructions in the meeting packet. Returning your proxy allows you to vote for board members in your absence and helps us establish a quorum at the meeting.

At our next regular board meeting on March 18th, the Board members will be determining the officer roles for the next year (President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary roles) and appointing committee chairpersons.  Any homeowner can be a committee chairperson.  A committee chairperson is responsible for overseeing the committee, organizing committee meetings as needed, and making recommendations to the Board for approval.

Joining a committee is a great way to have input on our neighborhood decisions, without being elected to the Board.  In particular, we could use the following help on our committees:
·       Homeowners with knowledge of landscaping and irrigation
·       Neighborhood walkers to report sprinkler and landscape issues or other neighborhood observations
·       Homeowners who have an interest in the maintenance and upkeep of our amenities, including the Rec Center and pool
·       Homeowners to organize our community events
·       Homeowners to review requests submitted to the Architectural Control Committee (ACC)
·       Homeowners for next year’s nomination committee
·       Homeowners interested in Neighborhood Watch

Please reach out to any of the board members or to property management below to let us know how you can help our neighborhood.

Reminder: Our current property manager is now Christian Brockl.  You can report any neighborhood concerns to Christian at cbrockl@sentymgt.com or (208)323-1080 ext. 59501.  For more serious concerns you can contact our Boise Police Neighborhood Community Officer (NCO) here: https://www.cityofboise.org/departments/police/specialty-positions/neighborhood-contact-officer/.
