Neighborhood Update: Pools and Road Maintenance
Posted on May 24th, 2023

Hi Neighbors! We've had some important community changes in the last few days so we kindly ask that you take a moment to review all the following information!

First, while the lap pool, kiddie pool and family pool are clean and ready to go, the waterfall pool is in its last stage of construction. Some concrete was poured yesterday, but the remainder of the deck will be poured over the next couple of days. In an effort to keep your families safe and to prevent any potential damage to the brand new concrete, we have elected to delay our pool opening for one day to Saturday, the 27th. We will open up with a bang on Saturday morning! And don't forget, Slay the Snow snow cone truck will be with us from 11-1:00 p.m. It will be a great day and worth the wait!

Also, you may have noticed that there have been reflector tabs applied to Lake Forest and Grand Forest in preparation for chip sealing next week. We wanted to let you know that not only is this project beginning, but the result of it will be permanent changes to parking on those streets. There will no longer be any street parking allowed from Adonis (near Trail Wind Elementary) east to Highway 21. This will also apply to Grand Forest from Rock Rose also up to Highway 21. Please note, this is a permanent change and the roads will be repainted to reflect this change. In addition, bike lanes will be added on both sides of the roads. There is additional work planned for the next year or two to change the intersections on both ends of Quamash to make them more bike and pedestrian friendly. Also in the next year or two additional road crossings with blinking lights will be added. Parking around the Simplot fields will not be affected by this change.

The complete plans for the Columbia Village ACHD project can be found at https://engage.achdidaho.org/columbia-village-neighborhood-improvements/.

Please let us know if you have any questions! We appreciate your patience and support!

Sincerely,
Your CVOA Board of Directors
