Happy Monday, Columbia Village! Given the rain and warmer temps, it looks like spring might finally be on its way...fingers crossed. Here is a brief update about our 2023 Annual Meeting that occurred last week. It was a full, standing room only event and it was fantastic to see so many friends and neighbors in attendance. Our continued hope is for more and more people to feel included and a part of our processes and progress.

First, a big round of applause and congratulations to our 3 board members who won the election! Welcome to Edgar Dodge Jr., Evan Robertson and Rachel McFarland. Evan is returning to us after serving valiantly for one year and Edgar and Rachel are new to the team. All offer many strengths and unique qualities and we are eager to get to work with them. Give them a high five next time you see them! 

During the meeting, each committee chair took a few minutes to update those in attendance of the projects that have been completed or are in progress over the last year. This included information regarding maintenance and improvements of the landscaping and amenities, continued improvement to neighbor communication, reminders from ACC and status reports from our Treasurer. During our Q&A session, discussion to remove the board was had. Brindee Collins of Collins Law reviewed the by-laws and state statutes regarding this process. Full meeting minutes and details will be posted on our website for your review at your leisure. 

Also, a quick welcome to our new representative from Sentry, Charles Degenhardt! He is our new go-to guy and we are excited to get to know him better. And a huge thank you to Christian Brockl for laboring with the CVOA Board and keeping us on track. It is not a small job and he will be missed.
