Happy Thanksgiving, Columbia Village Friends!

 

Things are pretty quiet over here at the CVOA board meetings, but we wanted to wish you a very cozy and happy Thanksgiving and keep you in the loop about all things Columbia Village! Here are all the happenings and events!

 

First, we want to thank Chuck Mione for his almost 6 years of service to the CVOA Board of Directors. Over the years he has served as a committee chair, board president and, most recently, treasurer, and we wish him the best with our gratitude as he moves on. Our current secretary, Anita Ralstin, will be filling the position of treasurer unit March of 2023 when new officers will be elected. The CVOA board does not meet in December, but will be back and ready to go in the new year. Please join us at our next meeting, January 17th.

 

We know some of you have been concerned that the sprinklers were still running as the weather cooled. We are on an annual schedule with Aloha and this week those sprinklers will be blown out and turned off for the season. We are always discussing ways we can adjust and improve our water usage and will continue to do so as we move into the spring next year. 

 

Next week is our annual Turkey Trot, "Almost 5K" beginning at the Rec. Center! Please join us Thanksgiving morning at 9:30 a.m. and burn off some calories before your feast!  Costumes are encouraged! Snacks and refreshments will be provided at the end. Kids can "hunt" for gnomes with special treats along the way in our scavenger hunt! We hope to see you there!!

· And costumes are encouraged!

 

Also, mark your calendars now for our Visit with Santa and Holiday Artisan Bazaar on December 17th from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Rec. Center! We are so excited to welcome local crafters to share their wares with us and to visit with Santa! Bring your family and enjoy refreshments and crafts for the kiddos! Don't forget your cameras! 

 

Finally, we are looking for a few good homeowners! The CVOA Board of Directors will have 3 vacancies for directors next year and we need you to apply! The deadline for the application is January 15, 2023. The link to the application is below. Join us as we serve our neighborhood and work to keep it the beautiful community that it is!
